In N' Out:

Tonight, I drove over (since I got my permit today) to In N' Out with Bryan and picked up dinner for Grandma and Grandpa. We got Grandma's favorite dessert (as she told us), a Strawberry Shake!

Grandpa Loves Candy:

My mom got some chocolate covered fruits from Costco this year, and Grandpa was eating a lot! So my mom said, "Don't eat any more of those Grandpa," and took them away. Then he reached over and ate a lot of the cookies.

Opening Gifts:

Grandpa and Grandma both really enjoyed Christmas. Grandpa's favorite gift was his "Gopher" grabber as shown in the second photo. He really enjoys using it! Grandma's favorite gifts were a purse from my parents, and pearls from Grandpa!

Just a Regular Day:

A Trip to Temple Light's and Cafe Río:

Grandpa didn't want to get out of the car, so we took some pictures in the car! Then Grandma got out and took some with my mom and Olivia. After we drove around for about 10 minutes, we went to Cafe Río. The last picture is a "Cafe Río Pick Up."

We asked Grandma:

  • "What do you want for your birthday dinner?" She said, "Hamburgers." (after we pushed the answer out of her.)
  • "What drives you crazy?" She said, "Counting all the cactus's around here."
  • "What food's do you dislike?" She said, "Oatmeal when it is over-cooked. It's like snot."
  • "Do you have any pet-peeves?" She said, "Oh I don't know," and laughed.

Fashion Show:

Grandma was just about to go to bed when we said, "Grandma! We want to see you in your new outfit!" At first, she just stood there humbly, but after we said,"Work it Grandma!", she gave us this cute pose!

Grandma's Hiding Place:

We all know Grandma likes to save everything, and for a good reason! She hates to waste! Don't we all?

A Trip to the Doctor:

Today Grandpa went to the doctor's office to check what was wrong with his leg! Unfortunately, they didn't find out anything on this trip because when Grandpa came home he said, "We didn't know anything more than we did before we went."

Grandpa's Had A Lot Less Stress Here:

Since Grandpa has arrived, he's loved to relax and hang out with the fam! There's a lot less pressure here so that may be why his hair is growing back... Just kidding!

Thanksgiving Gingerbread Houses:

As some of you know, every year we do gingerbread houses during Thanksgiving break! Grandma and I were partners and we made a perfect team with her telling me where to decorate the frosting, and where to put the candy. she was very pleased with the final product.

Her Room:

As you can see, Grandma is super happy with her extremely comfortable solitaire arrangement, and her hutch. We love seeing her smile!

Before Family Prayer:

What's To Do But Have Fun?

Recently, Grandpa's eyes have been hurting so it is very hard for him to keep focused on the computer screen. So lately he has been listening to many audio books! I mean, look how comfy he is! I know I'm jealous.

New Clothes AND a New Puzzle:

So my mom and I recently went to Kohl's and got grandma a few new shirts and pants! She looks really cute in them and when we gave them to her, she smiled. We also got a new puzzle for her to work on in her free time. I asked her if she liked to do puzzles and she said, "I don't like 'em but I do 'em." We weren't really sure what to say to that, but it was okay because she just kept going on with her puzzle!

Their First Sunday:

So Grandma and Grandpa's move went smoothly. They attended church the first week they had arrived. Both were welcomed very warmly into the Desert Hills Ward and are fitting in just splendidly; everyone hopes to get to know them even better! Both of them do leave after sacrament, but enjoy church just fine. We all wait to see what will happen on the next Sunday!
